How One San Diego Mom Built an Allergen-Free Beauty Brand for Families Like Hers
When Christina Peng’s son dealt with severe eczema and life-threatening allergies, she tried everything. But nothing worked until they cut out fragrance completely.
As a former beauty executive, Christina understood that “clean” doesn’t always mean safe but didn’t realize how impactful it could be for her family.
“What people don’t realize is that natural products actually contain a lot of allergens,” she explains. “Everything you’re allergic to is natural.”
So she put her years of experience to good use and founded Havyn Co, an allergen-free fragrance and skincare brand for families like hers.
But the mission doesn’t stop there. Havyn Co creates a true refuge by employing human trafficking survivors through a structured transitional program in partnership with local nonprofit Generate Hope.
The brand continues to expand with in-store placements in Anthropologie as well as its first brick-and-mortar boutique in Rancho Santa Fe.
