To our best of our knowledge, yes. Havyn products are formulated without the top 80 fragrance allergens, top 9 food allergens, and the known irritants listed on our standards page. We also conduct clinical testing with dermatologists on sensitive skin users to test for safety. Additionally, every product is also tested in a home use test with a panel of 12+ consumers who have been formally diagnosed with eczema.

While we have taken as many precautions to make our products as safe as possible for eczema and sensitive skin, every person is different, so it is recommended to patch test before use if the eczema is severe.

Most clean fragrance brands are focused on being paraben- and phthalate-free. They also may disclose their ingredients, but they tend to still include known allergens. Havyn goes further by eliminating the 80 EU-listed fragrance allergens altogether — making us suitable even for ultra-sensitive skin.

No, we use a proprietary blend of safe synthetic and nature-identical ingredients that avoid known allergens and irritants. Many essential oils are natural but can trigger allergic reactions, because they naturally contain allergens. For example, lavender essential oil naturally contains geraniol, linalool, and linalyl acetate, while ylang ylang oil contains isoeugenol, geraniol, linalool, benzyl acetate, and dihydro di-isoeugenol. Citrus oils also contain high amounts of limonene, which is a highly allergenic terpene.

Yes. Every product undergoes clinical testing in the form of a repeat insult patch test on a sensitive skin panel of consumers, overseen by a dermatologist. Every product is also tested by and reviewed by a dermatologist to ensure they’re non-irritating and truly suitable for sensitive skin. Additionally, every product is also tested in a real-world setting through home use tests with panels of eczema-prone individuals.

Havyn was born out of a personal need. Our founders struggled with fragrance sensitivities, eczema, and allergies in their own family—and realized there was no luxury fragrance or beauty brand that truly prioritized skin safety. Havyn was created to fill that gap: clean, elevated scents formulated without the allergens that most “clean” brands still use.

There are well over 3000+ fragrance ingredients, but when fragrance allergens are excluded, it's estimate that only a couple hundred are left for perfumers to work with. Havyn makes the intentional decision to prioritize skin safety from an allergy perspective and innovates to create luxury scents within the restrictions, to avoid ingredients that can sensitize skin.

Yes—Havyn is built on the belief that beauty should restore, not harm. Havyn achieves it mission in two ways: 1) by creating clean, allergen-free fragrance products that uplift, and 2) by earmarking a portion of every sale to fund their ability to directly help women transitioning out of trafficking, abuse, or trauma - specifically by creating entry-level job opportunities, training programs, and mentorship. Havyn also trains other employers on how to support this population's reentry into the workforce.
